1. Clairvoyance: The Gift of Vision

Clairvoyance is the ability to see psychic information, and manifests in two ways: internal and external.

Internal: is experienced through symbolism and visions.

o  Symbolism is presented in your mind’s eye with symbolic imagery related to whatever subject considered. For example, if you’re at a pivotal point in life, deciding what to do, you might see a crown representing success for one decision and a skull signifying danger on another. Or, if you’re inquiring about a person, you might see an image of a golden retriever or a hyena, offering insight into their nature.

o  Visions differ from memory or imagination, and are spontaneous mental experiences with intuitive messages, often felt received rather than consciously created. These can be experienced from different points of view:

• First-person: Seeing the vision as if it's happening to you.

• Second-person: Watching the vision unfold as if it’s happening to someone else.

• Third-person: Observing the vision from a detached perspective, like watching a movie.

External: refers to seeing things beyond the physical world, such as auras, spirits, orbs, sparks, shadows or other visual phenomena that overlay your normal sight.

2. Clairaudience: The Gift of Sound

Clairaudience is the ability to hear psychic information, and manifests in two ways: internal and external.

Internal: (most common) is hearing a dialogue in your mind. Sometimes the voice in your head is your own, sometimes it's the voice of another, but there is a distinct feeling that it didn't come from your own natural thinking processes.

External: include hearing messages as sound or voices despite there not being any. These can offer guidance but are typically short-lived, and not harmful.

A normal sign of this psychic power opening and developing is hearing different pitches of ringing in ears, similar to but different than tinnitus.

3. Clairtangency: The Gift of Touch

Clairtangency mainly operates through the hands and is the ability to receive psychic information, in the form of physical or emotional messages when touching people.

Physical: trigger pressure points, vibrations, warm, cold, or tingling sensations.

Emotional: evokes strong feelings or memories.

A common aspect of this gift is Psychometry: the ability to get insight about an object’s energy or history by holding or touching it.

4. Clairsentience: The Gift of Feeling

Clairsentience is the ability to feel psychic information about people, places, and situations. Can manifest in two ways: physical and emotional.

Physical: include sensations generally across the physical and auric body or in particular points that are often tied to the chakras and can offer knowledge about the energetic state of whatever is being sensed. Usually expressed through

o   Goosebumps, chills or warmth unrelated to temperature.

o   Signals like tingling, prickling, pressure, pleasure, discomfort, release of tension.

o   Energetic shifts such as surge of energy or fatigue.

Emotional: experiencing positive or negative moods that aren’t your own by sensing

o   Masked emotions of another person.

o   The overall vibe of an atmosphere.

o   Strong gut feelings about events.

5. Clairempathy: The Gift of Emotional Feeling

Clairempathy is the ability to experience the emotions of others, even if it’s unexpressed, without direct contact or communication. Unlike empathy, which involves picking up on others’ feelings while interacting with them, clairempathy allows you to feel someone else’s emotions from afar. This could include sudden waves of joy, sadness, or anxiety that don’t seem to be your own.

6. Clairalience: The Gift of Smell

Clairalience is the ability to smell psychically without any source. The scent may be pleasant or unpleasant and can indicate the presence of certain energies or spirits. For example: a floral or fresh aroma could signal a peaceful spirit, while a rotting or foul odor might indicate a darker presence. The smells usually don't linger; they're there just long enough for you to notice them before dissipating and leaving no logical explanation for where they came from.

7. Clairgustance: The Gift of Taste

Clairgustance is the ability to taste psychically, even when nothing is physically in your mouth. It’s one of the rarest psychic gifts. Examples include: a metallic or vile taste may indicate the presence of an untrustworthy spirit. On the other hand, a sweet or minty flavor may signal a more benevolent energy.

8. Claircognizance: The Gift of Knowing

Claircognizance is the ability to have psychic insights, thoughts or knowledge about a person, situation or event without any clear reasoning or evidence. The key signs is the sudden arrival of deeply true ideas that seemingly come out of nowhere. It is suggested that people with this trait are prophets or seers with enhanced connection to the collective unconscious or higher self.
